Hi EveryoneI am currently making a repaint and I have seen some guys have made so it's "metal"-looking. I loved it but I do not know how to make it look like "metal". Do somebody else know?Best Regards,Christian Hogstad

Well, Christian, if you're meaning the reflective metal quality of some aircraft, that's a property assigned to a part (or parts) in Gmax or FSDS2. You can alter the degree of "reflectiveness" by adjusting the value of a textures' alpha channel (solid black is extremely reflective, all white very little) but you can't adjust the property of the part as a repainter. Also, you can't make a non-reflective aircraft reflective by repainting alone. Experiment with a known reflective aircraft to see how it works. A black or dark grey alpha channel may overpower any paint or color in a texture. I use Martin Wright's DXTbmp utility to convert DXT3 textures (for FS) to 32 bit (for Photoshop) and back to DXT3.Good Lucktelephile

I would suggest a "Reflective Textures Made Simple" tutorial that can provide you with some pointers.http://www.oregon-coast.net/FS2002/simple.htm>Hi Everyone>>I am currently making a repaint and I have seen some guys have>made so it's "metal"-looking.
