June 13, 200322 yr I am trying to share my MS default panel for the 737-400 with another plane that I downloaded. I have tried to copy the entire panel directory from the 737 to the new plane, but I can't get the virtual cocpit to show up. The scenery is there, but none of the gagues, or backgrounds. It basically looks like you are sitting in mid air. I have also tried the "alias-b737_400panel" command in the pannel.cfg with the same results. All other views work fine, with the exception of the VC. The VC in the 737 itself works when I have the 737 selected, so I know that isn't the problem. Do I need to copy some other file from the 737's folders?
June 13, 200322 yr The Virtual cockpit is in the MDL file so you cant put the vitual cockpit on another modelGreets out of Holland :-wave, John
June 13, 200322 yr Thanks for the info. Is there some way to decipher the MDL and just strip off the VC portion? Or, can anyone point me to a good resource for creating VC's? Or.. better yet, any good CRJ models out there with VC pannels built in?? ThanksBill
June 13, 200322 yr Author Hmmm, I can just answer your first question... No, there is no way to "decompile" a MDL file, at least to my knowledge (I am no aircraft modeller...). :-)Good luck though!http://www.flightfactory-simulations.com/i...enne_Banner.jpg
