XML Functions Explained

Recommended Posts

Guest

HiI want to know if the XML gauge functions e.g. "rotate", "non linearity", "shift" etc. is documented? I read the SDK, sd2gau14.zip and the older C++ tut for FS2000, but don't find the functions and their use explained. Did I miss it somewhere or can someone give me a hand? Thanks

Hi,I had the same questions (never found a proper description). What I did for my gauges (and that worked every time): just reverse-engineer these functions by studying at existing gauges in the default Boeing747-400.cab file: looking at their behaviour and how the XMLcode is programmed.Rob

Within the panel sdk kit you (most likely) downloaded, the "gauges.dtd" and "gauges.xdr" files in the inc directory might shed some light on what functions support which tags.Other than that, it's pretty self-explanatory *once you understand it* :D So by trial and plenty of errors you will learn the most.
