Gmax/FS Transparency Map?

Recommended Posts

Guest simagic3d

Gonna ask anyway just in case it is possible, but from whatI've been able to find on the net, it doesn't look like it.Can I have variable transparency via an image (with or w/o analpha channel) so I can have a more realistic blurred prop?Or, can it be reasonably faked so that a prop disk appearsmore opaque towards the hub and very transparent at thetips? Are all the stock flight sim prop opacities uniform across theentire object/part? That is, the opacity in gmas is set tolike 5 to 10% for the material, or are they using a map tocreate a gradient effect? If so how?

HiWith gmax you can choose the % opacity, but not sure if it applies to rotating props.voscon.
