January 31, 200422 yr Author Ok, the thing is that the smoke effects works with my other xml gauge, but that goes via gforce, and a DC9er don't push so much Gs ;)anyway I edit that one a little but not work, the smoke come out from the wings then the aircraft is standing on the gate (with config gforce=0.9) but as soon I start to taxi its gone, then on my specific 138kt works fine.So its not a problem in my aircraft/panel.cfg or the airfile. maybe the fx file.. I have tried a few so I maybe have mixed it up a bit :)/burner
February 1, 200422 yr Burner,I always check smoke effects first without the gauge control, using just the "I" key. I open the Sim in window mode so that I can also have theaircraft.cfg available...now I can check the coordinates ofthe smoke effect, and adjust the "X" and "Z" cfg values afterpausing the Sim...re-select the aircraft to see how changesworked. As you may know the "Y" coordinate of the smokesystem does notwork at all, so the first entry is always "0.0,"...if a "Y"coordinate correction is needed it must be done inside of theeffect file, using "Y offset=" entries (in meters)...If you d/l from the library "TALON_FX.zip" you will see anexample of how to do it...Also, here is what I am working on now for Kirk's F16 Viper, the vapor cloud appears when high "G"'s are pulled... http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/60634.jpgJR
