Amazing GMax!

Recommended Posts

This may be "old hat" to many of you, but in my never-ending-quest to learn something new, I spent a couple of hours this morning exploring some "lofting" with GMax...The results are simply amazing! This section of elevated roadway was constructed using a simple "line" and a "shape," then "lofted" into this 3d object. As long as you are in the "loft mode," you can adjust the shape and/or line to change the 3d in "real time." Once the object was converted to "Editable Poly," then the total number of polys is only 121, as you can see from the "poly counter!"Now I have yet another "tool in my GMax arsenal" to put to good use! :)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/62220.jpg

Hi Bill,This is indeed a great feature of GWax. I use it alot for the WW2 style wingtips and vertical stab tips. The "Stupid idiots GMax guide" (can't help it's named like that) on freeflightdesign.com explains really well how to do it! :)Cheers,
