August 1, 200421 yr I have discovered that there is a parameter in the aircraft config file to choose carburation or fuel injection. Given that the Cessna 172N has carburation, do you know if one can "put back" a carb heat control? I have a graphic, but it's the hooks into the MS internals via XML that I need a pointer to.Thanks in advance..boneshttp://fsaviation.nethttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
August 1, 200421 yr bones - Here is a fragment that works for me.Have you got the latest 'Panels' SDK to study? (A:General eng1 anti ice position, bool)Regards Ted
August 2, 200421 yr Thanks Ted - I really appreciate that snippet. If you say "latest" panels SDK it sounds as if MS have revised the original so I'll double check that mine are current. Many, many thanks..boneshttp://fsaviation.nethttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
August 2, 200421 yr Keep in mind that FS9 doesn't simulate carb heat or carburettor icing. Pulling heat on will help in normal icing conditions though, as an engine deice system. Silly, but.. Furthermore, special conditions must exist; making clouds generate ice is not the easiest thing in the world. Weathertheme SDK seems to work better though.
