module for XML sounds

Recommended Posts

Hi Doug,Your gauge as I have it now (with my personal L:Var and soundfile names ) works just fine as it is.As I explained to you a few weeks ago, I have to use a "soundserver counterpart" in XML anyway (that implements a Semaphone and wait queue), because in my groundhandling gauges I start/stop various sounds simultaneously even from within the same gauge, and implement a feature where I can start one sound when another one has finished playing.I think a major improvement would be (as I already suggested to you via mail, and in the post above): the ability to read an .ini file in an XML gauge, in which you can define the used sound files and the used L:Var name. This would eliminate the need to make special versions of your gauge, where the L:Var name and the soundfile names are hardcoded.Cheers, ROb
