Smoke: how to edit?

Featured Replies

Helo guys,I'm trying to make some edits on a smoke file. It has some document to explain the parameters showed in the effects files? There is some program that built smoke files?I want to understand what is that numbers showed in the effects files. Thanks for any help!!

The smoke files, as you have discovered, are .fx files. They are documented (in typical MS fashion, not well) in Special Effects SDK available on the MS Flight Sim SDK site. The program of choice to edit them is "notepad.exe" or if you are a *nix guy, "vi".You can find the SDK here: http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimul...wnloads_sdk.asp
