Question about XML in FS9 aircraft

Featured Replies

I imported an FS9 aircraft to FSX that uses XML guages, but none of them will show up. Another aircraft by the same person (Roland Laborie)works just fine. The aircraft is the mirage 2000N. I thought XMLs were supposed to work in FSX, so maybe I did something wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated though.

99.99% sure you did something wrong :-)At worst, one or two functions in an XML gauge has a limited function in FSX (compared to FS9) but they will always show up.Check that:- You didn't misspell "gauge" (NOT: "guage") in the panel.cfg.- The location (subfolder) of the XML files.- Or, (if they are bundled in a .cab file): the location of the .cab file.Rob

I know nothing is misspelled because it works fine in FS9. It is an automatic installation. I installed to a temp folder then moved everything. I tried leaving the gauge in the panel folder and moved it to the gauge folder, neither way worked. I really can't figure this one out lol

LOL just realized I spelled gauge wrong in the original post. Sorry

Ok I got it fixed. In the panel cfg file it had the path to the cabinet file before the gauge name. Obviously the path is different in FSX so I just deleted the path and now it works perfectly. Thanks for the help.
