dsd sound problem

Featured Replies

It's me again...first I want to say that I used the search function in this forum and browsed through many related threads about playing sound files with XML via the DSD Gauge. I also looked at other Panels and saw how they did it and I thought I understood it...but I think I didn't cause my gauge doesn't want to play the sound under any circumstances. It's a simple ON/OFF Switch and I just used one sound for Testpurposes which is loacted at:Flight Simulator 9SoundDC8ProjectTestSwitch.wavThe .ini File is located at:Flight Simulator 9GaugesDC-8PanelSounds.iniand looks like following:[Config]MaxSounds=1Lvar=dsd_xml_sound_idLvarStop=dsd_stop_sounds[sounds]Sound00=./Sound/DC8Project/TestSwitch.wav[LVars]Lvar00=TestSwitchin my panel.cfg I pointed to the correct file:gauge51=dsd_xml_sound3!dsd_xml_sound3, 2,2,5,5,./Gauges/DC-8PanelSounds.iniand my Gauge-Code looks like the following:(L:Hydraulic Switch, bool) 1 (>L:TestSwitch, number) (L:Hydraulic Switch, bool) ! (>L:Hydraulic Switch, bool)I tried many variants, as I said, I browsed through the forum, but nothing did work... I have absolutely no idea what's wrong here...maybe I'm now working for too long on the error to actualy see it... if anybody can help me (and I know this topic how to play a sound was brought up many times) it would b really appreciatedRegardsJohann

Have you used the visible element in the sound gauge to check what .ini file and sound files the gauge thinks it is working with?Doug

I'm sorry... I don't quite understand what you mean :-/
