Runway Skidmarks

Featured Replies

Ok gurus, here we go... Does anyone know if it's possible to add skidmarks to certain airports. Maybe with a macro or SCASM or gmax or whatever. I'm not a scenery designer so... Any ideas? I mean I don't want to make 1000 landings on a certain runway just to make it looks a bit more realistic for just this Flight Sim session. (As you should know those decals are removed when exiting.) :-zhelpOr, if you can't help me with this, but you can make good textures, it would be great if you could tell me how to add realistic skidmarks to a runway texture (or i ngeneral how to paint good runway textures). It's obvious the microsoft standard skidmarks in the middle or every asphalt or concrete runway are not the best. :-lolhttp://www.flightsimmers.net/airport/etti/...s/skidmarks.jpgRegards :-newbiehttp://flightsimmers.net/airport/etti/signature_pro.jpg

I added touchdown markers to a runway using a simple polygon I created in FSDS, so, I suppose it would be just as easy to create one to make skidmarks. If you do not have FSDS, then I'm sure it would be just as easy in EOD.Need more? Just ask :)- Martin

Somewhere, I don't recall, (big help huh?)I saw that runways contained 6 textures some which included skid marks.
