May 7, 200224 yr Dear All:I have created an Boeing 737-200 library object, and a macro wilth an CalllibObj( ).I placed 18 macros , but the frame rates decrease to 10.5 fps.The library objects improve the frame rates or the memory use? Thanks.Alfredo Mendiola LoyolaLima Peru
May 7, 200224 yr Commercial Member Libraries should improve both, but when you place a lot of complex objects (as aircraft are most of the time) it will still affect the framerate.ArnoMember NL2000 Teamhttp://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. May 8, 200224 yr Hi AlfredoAs I suggested, the key to this is that aircraft models really need a great deal of simplification to work successfully as static objects without having the accustomed hit on frame rates. All that's needed is the visible textured 'shell' without any of the moving parts and all the other complications that accompany a flyable aircraft. But even then, the typical aircraft model has so many polygons that there is always going to be some hit on frame rates ...RegardsGerrish
