Creating BGl with BGLC

Featured Replies

I placed some effects with the BGL Placer application in Effects SDK and the resulting file that it created was an Excel comma seperated data file. I dragged this to the BGLC to compile a BGL but get nothing. Is the BGL placer supposed to create an Excel file? It seems to me it should probably create a simple text file. Also, will the BGL be created inb the same folder as the BGLC application?tanks in advance for any suggestions or info!

Yes, it creates a file that ends on csv. This means that you can also make your source files in Excel (very usefull if you have a load of objects). When I drop it onto BGLC or I use the DOS prompt to compile it, I get a BGL file in the folder where BGLC also is (my source file was in that same folder btw).Hope this helps you,ArnoMember NL2000 Teamhttp://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen

In XP it is called Command Prompt, you can find it in the start menu under Accessories.ArnoMember NL2000 Teamhttp://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsenPS. I am running XP too and can just drop it onto the exe if I want
