July 10, 200223 yr When I texture a series of similar polygons in GMAX, I find it simpler to just use the Material Editor over and over to apply the entire bitmap to each entire polygon, rather than unwrap and edit the vertices for each polygon to fit, since the vertices often seem scattered all over the place. However.............is there someone out there who can tell me whether applying the entire map directly to the polygons using box is inefficient....I am wondering whether applying the bmp with the Material Editor dialog box apply button for each polygon will result in forcing the flightsim to open over and over again the bitmap file for each polygon, and consequently give me a frame rate hit?

I think as long as you keep the materials the same (same name also) it should not be a problem.ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
