Disabling the crash detection

Featured Replies

Hi,Is it possible to disconnect the crash detection of one part only from a building in Gmax? It's impossible to enter the gate without crashing with the jetway even when I have enough visible clearance.Appreciate your helpT Khalil

Then you most certainly turn off crash detection.Consider this, if you did crash, there would most certainly be an investigation and you'd be suspended, assuming you survived. If you want 'as real as it gets' then you'd have to comply.Consequently, I have crash turned off whenever I fly.As to your question, as long as the jetways are a seperate entity to the terminal building then you can have crash detect switched off.I'd hazard at a guess that crash detect would be linked to reference points.

Ok, so I need to divide the terminal into two separate files, compile one normally and one with crash turned off for the jetway object.Cheers

Yes, that is the best option. Or completely without crash detection. I leave it out for the entire terminal most of the time.Arno

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
