Sorry Max, I had to do it. It really is Win98 with a shiney, not so new cover: Object Desktop :() The good news is it passed the Max Cowgill Test!I decided against XP until it matures a bit more. I am really quite pleased to delay Activation Technology as long as possible, and as I say, this OS is really quite compatible, stable enough, requires no annoying Activation Tech, and besides, I know it inside n out. In fact I can't see any good reason to move to XP still. Object Desktop has done a decent job of not only changing the GUI, but adding a few good features. My chief complaint with Win98 is its poor handling >512mb of ram, and its annoying lack of freeing resources fully when you shut apps down. Other than that, it does everything I need it to do.BTW, there are a zillion other GUIs to use with OD, as well as countless cool icon sets, and many other mini features and skins. Cheers,Noel
