Makemdl and animation

Featured Replies

I can create animations in Gmax, no problem. However, when I export it, there is a long pause in the creation process, and then when I open flightsim, the model is HUUUUUGE. And there is no animation.Im using thenew MakeMdl from the SDK, but there seems to be a problem. When I go back tot he old one from the flightsim disk, it works OK, except there is no animation.Ive named the object Tick18_, included a static object and all that, still no animation.Anyone have a clue as to what I may be doing wrong??ThanksJohn

Humm, strange. I have no idea. My animations work fine with the latest MakeMDL version.Do you use any other tools during or after the export (FsRegen, MiddleMan, ...)?Arno

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.

Hey, Arno:Thanks for replying.I dont understand it, either. The old one works fine, but not thenew one. I dont use any other tools. Placing buildings and stuff have been good enough for me.But for some reason, the new MakeMdl just doesnt work for me.I cant even generate plain, old generic buildings. They dont show up. That long pause during export seems ominous, but I cant figure out what its doing. It doesnt generate any errors or anything.Oh well... I guess I can live without animation. Thanks again.john
