September 23, 200223 yr Hi everybody - I'm thinking about buying a copy of FSSE 1.50 to add my static vehicle scenery. Do any of you use this product - if so, what do you think about the framerates? I've also looked in this forum to see what method the pros use - if you could, also please share how you add static scenery to your creations. Thanks for your opinions ...Jay
September 23, 200223 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Jay,I don't use FSSE myself. That's because I don't like the way the program works. You can only share your work with user that have also bought the program. I don't like this approach and therefore I use the more traditional tools that create BGL files that can be shared easily. With these "normal" tools you can place macros of aircraft in the scenery to place you statics. It is probably a bit more tricky to line them up correct (as it can not be done from inside FS, as FSSE allows). For my newest sceneries I am now working on, I plan to remove all statics. I think it looks better to have some AI traffic on the airport, instead of those statics that stay there for ever :). Because the amount of AI can also be set by the user it also gives the user more control over the performance.ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. September 23, 200223 yr Arno,First of all, I want to thank you as well for all the assistance you give to people on scenery design, both personally and via your informative site. I have not seen the "negative" post in question and I don't want to. I just believe you do a lot for this community and I, along with many others, thank you for that.I'm going to post some screenshots I have made of the airport I'm based out of (CYTZ - Toronto, Canada) pretty soon. The end-result could only have been made possible through the assistance from you and many others in this forum.Arno, which tools do you use to create BGL files for static vehicles? I'm looking to add some airport support vehicles such as refuelling trucks and other vehicles on the tarmac.I totally agree with you that it would be more interesting to add AI aircraft. Are you using the AutoGen SDK to create this AI aircraft?Arno, once again, many thanks for your input to this community.Jay

I now use FSSC mainly, but you can use any of the design tools to place your macros/objects. Other examples are Airport, GroundMaker, Architect.>I totally agree with you that it would be more interesting >to add AI aircraft. Are you using the AutoGen SDK to create >this AI aircraft? No, I use AFCAD to make the taxiways match my scenery and then TTools to add some flights.ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
