A question about Dreamfleet's Archer...

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm not sure I understood...is there an option to change the default VC views with photo-realistic ones? Thanks for your advice !Twister

Hi Twister,I don't have the Archer yet, but maybe you can answer me a question.- Do you have the FSD Commander 115 TC? - If so, how does the VC quality and readability at 70% zoom compare in the two, both during the day and at night?- If possible can you post a few screenie's as I am considering purchasing the Archer, but I'm not quight there yet.- I have the FSD Commander, and It is the one of a very few 2002 aircraft where I use the VC. Even the gPS update sin the VC Panel and the guages are awesome. Thanks for you help, :-)Joe :-wavehttp://home.attbi.com/~jranos/mysig.jpg http://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif

Yes, go to the Config-O-Matic and check the box in the upper right corner of the window that says something along the lines of use 2D bitmaps. That way, when you are in 2D mode, you will see bitmaps when you look around. However, when you are in VC mode, you will see the aircraft model when you look around. This is the first plane that I know of that has been able to incorporate both 2d bitmaps in the 2d mode and a full VC.[hr color=gray]http://home.earthlink.net/~snyders2000/deb.jpg

Hi Joe-->I don't have the Archer yet, but maybe you can answer me a >question. >>- Do you have the FSD Commander 115 TC? Yup. :-) http://www.fsd-international.com/images/FSD_beta_tester.jpg>- If so, how does the VC quality and readability at 70% zoom >compare in the two, both during the day and at night? They are both equivalent, I would say. However, if this is a problem, the Archer includes a digital readout and all gauges. You will see it turned on in some of the pics below.>- If possible can you post a few screenie's as I am >considering purchasing the Archer, but I'm not quight there >yet. See below. Whoops, another edit. :-) Joe, just note that these panel shots had to be reduced extensively, so the image quality had to suffer. Let me know if you want to see the original uncompressed versions. I think I still have them at home and I could email one or two of them to you.[hr color=gray]http://home.earthlink.net/~snyders2000/deb.jpg

Hi Jeff,Thanks for the info, I will try that right-away...take careTwister

Hi Joe,The pictures speak for themselves...I personally don't have the Commander but the Archer, in my opinion, is absolutely fantastic - the VC panel is amazing (as is everything else).take caretwister
