Listing/FAQ for 2k2 scenery creation?

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hi all,I *think* I'm finally getting some idea of what's involved in getting fully 2k2 enabled scenery built! I've fiddled with LandClass Assistant, just learned about scm2vtp, gotten used to FSSC, and I think I understand the dialect as well! (you don't speak English here, you know!)More seriously, does someone maintain a listing or FAQ for all the utilities and small programs 2k2 scenery requires right now? There seem to be a load of little programs, each designed to write/delete/modify one or a few things. Somebody must have a listing of most of these, with a blurb about what they're each for?Part of the problem is that most of the major scenery tools (Airport, FSSC, etc) are still back in FS98-era, or 2k at best. This isn't a shot at the writers of these programs, though - it's obvious that the changes in 2k2 are MASSIVE, and nobody's quite caught up yet.So, a list of what's available & what it does? Please?Brian.

As a matter of fact, Arno has a good collection of just that sort of thing. His site is at http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/ -- look for the scenery design programs section. It's a good overview.
