GMAX Animation to Airport Gates

Could gmax created airport gates be given animation to move and adjust height as the aircraft approaches to the gate?How could one create flashing lights (on towers etc.)with gmax? and airport flood lights that will come on after certain time of the day ?Your help and advice pleaseLetats

Let me try to give you an answer :), I'll answer them in reverse order.2) You can not set this right away from GMax, but you can add some extra checks to the source that can turn it on and off at a certain time of day.1) This is hard to do. The animations used by GMax use a fixed table of translations and rotations. Using the checks mentioned above you can use different tables in different conditions. But it would mean a lot of work to change this in the source code.I use a frequency controlled animation for my gates. That means that once you have parked your plane, so select a certain frequency and then the animation will play for you, untill the gate is extracted. Once you turn it off again, it will retract.I hope this helps you (a bit),Arno
