Adding or changing ATIS freq in FS2002

Featured Replies

Hi,The airport I am designing the scenery for has the ATIS on the same freq as the VOR in real life. Therefore in FS I do not have ATIS inthis this airport since this mix freq is not supported in the game. So is there any special way to add ATIS in FS2002 or is it the same ATIS option we used to add for previous FS versions? Or is there a new command for that? Thanks :)Michel

The VOR and ATIS frequencies are located in the fs2002scenedbAFDFILESScenery files. You can open the ATIS part of these files with AFCAD. You can decompile the entire *.bgl with ScDis or BGLAnalyzer. Are you indicating that Microsoft didn't put the ATIS frequency in the data base since it is the same frequency as a VOR.

Thanks for the reply. Thats right MS did not put the ATIS because in real life its coupled with the VOR something that FS2002 does not support. So I want to add an ATIS to the freeware scenery I am designing and I will give it any fictional freq but I was wondering if by adding an ATIS the way we used to do it for previous FS versions, will make FS2002 Voice Atis works for it too?CheersMichel

I just noticed that we can do all that with AFCAD by Lee Swordy. How wonderful! Actually I found that MS already included the ATIS on 112.6 but as FS2002 does not support that it simply could not work in the game. So I gave it another freq. Cheers!Michel
