December 21, 200223 yr I've encountered the following error message while taxying around a few airports:====================================================Scenery library object not found. This may cause some scenery, such as buildings, to not display.ID: 0x74BC6DED, 0x11D2F98A, 0x1000849C, 0x2AE60C5A====================================================I started a few weeks ago out of the blue. I remember installing the Dash7 aircraft last, but I can't see why it would be related.I checked my scenery library and everything is checked (=active).Does anyone have a clue as to what these files are? I'd like to copy them over from the original FS2002 CD's if I knew which ones...Any suggestions?Michel Legein
December 21, 200223 yr Hi Michel! This is typical message which You get when You do not have scenery properly installed or even worse; You do not have all the files. It is about library objects which means, that in one of scenery files (BGLs) You have some objects like fences, houses, trees, etc. sved in one or more scenery files and the main scenery file calls these object and since FS cannot find them, You get such an error. If I were You, I would try to remember which scenery was installed last before these messages begin to appear. Then I would go and look in the documentation to see, if I have forgotten to install something like Gerrish Gray's trees etc.Hope it helps. December 22, 200223 yr Hi GoranHmmm. This happens when I taxi around some airports, and it happens all over the world: Europe, Canada, Caribbean, etc. I get it with both add-on scenery and default FS scenery. There are many airports where it doesn't happen at all.Very puzzling. It must be something basic like a fuel pump or a truck or something because I get it with default (smaller) FS2002 airports as well, and it's usually near a terminal.Michel
December 23, 200223 yr Commercial Member Then it probably has something to do with the default libraries of MS. You are sure you have activated all default (MS) scenery layers? Otherwise it could mean that you miss a file, but that will be hard to find I am afraid :(.ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. December 23, 200223 yr Hi ArnoDo you know which directory contains the default scenery for airports?Maybe I can copy this directory from the original CD again.I'd like to avoid re-installing FS2002 :'( Michel
December 24, 200223 yr Commercial Member I don't have FS on this machine I am working on now, so I can't check it. But I think there are a few folders that contains the libraries. There is a vehicles folder for example. They are all in the scenedb folder. So maybe you can compare that one with your CD to see if you can find the missing files?ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[a href=http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]http://home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen/banner.jpg[/a] Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.
