February 21, 200323 yr Hi there, sometimes, when launching MakeMDL to export some Gmax files, I get this strange (for me) MakeMDL warning.Nothing tragic, the file is exported and compiled anyway, and it does work in FS, but I would anyway like to know what this message does mean (really can't understand it).I wouldn't like to discover this can have negative side-effects on the scenery in a second time only. Thanks for any help.
February 21, 200323 yr Commercial Member I have never seen this message, but it looks like you have used some special sort of scaling that is not needed. Is there also a error log file created by MakeMDL and what does that contain?ArnoMember Netherlands 2000 Scenery Team[link:home.wanadoo.nl/arno.gerretsen]Arno's FlightSim World for scenery design hints, tips and other tricks... February 22, 200323 yr Hi Arno, thanks for your answer.I don't save too often an error log file, but, if I well remember, I saved it once, when the mysterious 'OBED' message was displayed, and it told me that everything was Ok.Anyway, I'll repeat the log test and will let you know.BTW, as far as I can remember, that message popped up even with files where I'm 100% sure I applied no scaling commands.
February 22, 200323 yr HiI think i've had this error on my pc quite recently after installing the MakeMDL file.Make sure you settings for both scale and grid setup are correct.ie.1 unit = 1 metre. Each grid until is 1/10th of 1 metre.I think i changed the scale or something to sort out the problem. I've done many things since then, and can't remember exactly what i did.Good luck
