creating "airport grass" polygons

Featured Replies

I recently downloaded LWMdraw and it worked beautifully with regards to creating my lake. I am now trying to "cut" a grass background for my airport out of the woods. Am I going to be able to use a LWM polygon for that, or do I have to use the VTP? If I can use an LWM, will LMWdraw let me do that, or can someone show me how to edit the file before I drop it into BGLC.exe? Thanks for all the helpJeff

Hi Jeff,LWMDraw is a great option for creating a grass ground poly for your airport. You'll defnitely be making VTP polys; LWM is Land-Water Mask and is only used for cutting water out of the overlying ground. If you look through the docs for LWMDraw, you'll see a tutorial on creating a runway near a lake. The runway is done with VTP lines. You will be making polys, but the idea is similar. If you have any questions as you go along, I'd be happy to help. Just email me through this forum and I'll respond as quickly as I can.thanks,
