May 2, 200323 yr I am new to scenery design, and have looked at certain issues which need clarifying.Often one needs to make transparent textures such as windows of a control tower, because invariably one can see right through. In a way the same goes for making fences and radio masts for example. What is the best way to achieve this result in GMAX?
May 2, 200323 yr Commercial Member You can achieve this with any object tool. The trick is normally to add an alpha channel to the texture you are using. The information in that channel will determine if the texture is transparant or not.An alternative is to make the material (color) you use in GMax transparant, but this means that every window must be a separate polygon. It's just what you prefer. Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. FSDeveloper.com | Former Microsoft FS MVP | Blog
