AFCAD Duplicating Airport - HELP!

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,I recently wrote a new fictitous airport scenery file with FSSC. It worked very well ( & is available at http://www.toomuchfs.com ). The problem I have arose when I decided to add AI aircraft to the new airport. I used AFCAD (what else?!) & it all seemed to work well. The AI aircraft all do what they are supposed to do at the right times! However, when I use the Go To Airport dialog box, there are now TWO entries for this new airport. One without any ramps or gates (the original scenery file I wrote) & a second one with all the ramps & gates.I have also noticed that when you use the GPS, there are 2 entries for this airport overlaying each other. How do I get rid of the original entry that doesn't have any ramps or gates without upsetting my scenery file?? :-hmmm

Try looking for the AFD file that FSSC made for you (it's name something like myscenery_afd.bgl I think). To prevent FSSC from creating it the next time you compile you must also turn of that it is created. You can do that in the runway properties for the runway.

Thanks Arno - that worked. For a while I also then had trouble as the VOR & NDB didn't show on map view or GPS, even though you could tune in to them. The problem there was finally solved (an AFCAD issue not a FSSC problem).Cheers :-hah
