Can't export...

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm working through the gmax tutuorials but I can't export. I've registered gmax and I still can't export. Any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks!-Kellan

Ah do you have Flight Sim 2002 Professional? You need that version to be able to use the export function as Pro has the export plugin to make MDL's.

As James indicated, first make sure you have installed the plugin that comes with Fs2002Pro. If you have installed that properly the export option will no longer be gray. Some people also have problems with getting the exporter to work after that, this is because the exporter only works if you have set the dot (.) as your decimal character in the windows settings.

In your Fs2002 folder you will find a folder names Gmax/FlightSim. You must copy everything in that folder into the folder where you installed GMax (C:GMax for example). That's all. After that it is best to upgrade MakeMDL to the latest version from the MakeMDL SDK (http://zone.msn.com/flightsim).
