June 26, 200322 yr I've experimented with lanclass but find it no good for cities as the areas are too large, then I see that Microsoft doesn't use it either:So what are they doing to get the woods/park in this picture (actually the Englisher garten in Munchen)? Can you do this with ground 2K?????
June 26, 200322 yr Hello whatever your name is,Isn't that a lovely place, with the woods, and the streams, the fields, and the hill with the belvedere? If only there weren't a lot of naked pot-bellied Germans lying around. You can get this sort of effect with Ground2K or by just placing a textured polygon with SCASM - the Flight Simulator Development Team seems to have done both.If you can eliminate that park with a simple exclude, then it is not terrain, but only a layer of textured polygon. To get the same effect in Ground2K, draw a "Poly without shore". Select VTP2/Poly and choose the Park land class value. That is all. The park will be inlaid into the terrain and show all seasonal behaviour with full autogen.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
June 26, 200322 yr Another idea is to make polygon using FSSC/Airport for windows, then convert it with SCM2XY2 and use some landclass as texture. This way You can get trees around airports, grass underneath airport, make a small village etc. Take a look for example my (realy easy) scenery, how I put woods around the airport using this file: http://slovenia.avsim.net/slo_v_fs/files/S.../LJMS_FS2k2.zipBest regards,Goran BrumenFS Slovenija 2002 teamhttp://slovenia.avsim.net
