August 31, 200322 yr Hi all,I'm sure this has been asked before, but I've tried searching and haven't found anything in the forums. I'm trying to create a lake in CFS2. I was using FSSC's surface area with the "water" option, but when I moved over it, the plane didn't splash (it still acted like ground). Then I tried using Airport 2.6, again using the Surface Area: water option, but I didn't have much success with that either. Any ideas? Thanks,Bob
September 4, 200322 yr Hello Bob,have at look at Ground2k from Christian Fumey. It has the option to create land and water (and more ground structures). However, pay special attention to the documentation because CFS2 uses older instruction sets for these structures than the newer versions of flightsimulator.Cheers,Edgar
September 4, 200322 yr Bob,one more idea though. If You have a lake in FSSC drawn exactly where you want it, then try converting SCA file of Your scenery with SCM2XY2 by Falko Dienstbach. URL was written on this forum and YOu can also look at www.scenerydesign.org for URL (I don't remember it now). Then use for texture "0000" (four times zero) and this should give You FS style water with splash and other effects. But correct way should be using Ground2000 with which You will get two BGLs and the lake will have shoreline.Best regards,Goran BrumenFS Slovenija 2002 teamhttp://slovenia.avsim.net
