November 6, 200322 yr So I havn't taken the plunge and moved to Fs2004 yet, but I have been looking at some of the scenery files already available, to see if they work in fs2002 - the .BGL bit does but what are the .HMR and .B1 texture files? I searched here and in other places but no information. They look like .BMP files, and if you rename them DXTBmp opens them, but Imagetool and Fs2002 don't..Geoff
November 6, 200322 yr Commercial Member I have never seen those texture formats, where did you find them? Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. FSDeveloper.com | Former Microsoft FS MVP | Blog
November 7, 200322 yr Hi Arno,I found them in a download called humbr2k4.zip, its the FS2004 version of the Humber bridge (just across the water from you!)The readme says that the scenery was created by Firstsim98:[email protected] didn't think to look for the program I just assumed that these .HMR files were some new texture format in FS2004...Geoff
November 7, 200322 yr Commercial Member Looking at the file size they are just R8 textures, which have been given a different extention. But they still remain R8 (or RAW) textures and you can thus open them like usual for such textures.
