January 2, 200422 yr Gday ppl, not sure if this should be in " one of scenery design's "lighter" moments " as it fits the bill just fine :0)Im trying to place a Refuel Trigger in some scenery and keep getting the trigger box about 4 km away.the Lat Lon in FS9 is S012:15:41.7692 E131:13:54.6638 ( dead centre of the fuel pad )when i convert to decimal ( and im not to confident with that ) or even input as is, i still end up way off the mark.can someone please educate me on how to convert that correctly to Decimal. Ive tried division by 60 on the Mins / Sec and still cant get it right.thanks in advance: Jeff
January 2, 200422 yr Ive solved my problem allthough i dont understand how.in the FS9.CFG file i changed the following line.DISPLAY_FRACTIONAL_MINUTES=0back toDISPLAY_FRACTIONAL_MINUTES=1and then used the co-ords and the trigger sat right on the knocker. If anyone understands what the Diff is, id appericiate an explanation.rgds Jeff
January 2, 200422 yr Hi Jeff.I use TCalc2004 with FS9:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...04sd&DLID=39768It gives exact lat-long in decimal ( and other ) format, as well as true heading and ground elevation.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/55799.jpgDick
January 3, 200422 yr Thanks Dick, never thought to use it !I was up till 4 am lol placeing the refuel repair after chasing it around the paddock for 3 hours LOL ( and numerous FS restarts )Now im trying to place a smoke effect on the knocker for the waste plume on an Oil Rig, if i can get that right, ill try adding the flame to it aswell.Ill let you know how i go.rgds Jeff
January 3, 200422 yr Dick, yer bloods worth botteling mate. The Plume is right on the knocker, all i need to do now is to create a darker BMP file to represent Oil smoke and add a Flame effect at the base and replace the Steam effect. Thanks Heaps for your help, i hope to have a couple of Rigs for upload in the next few weeks.rgds Jeff
