Does this happen on any file or only on files you have recently saves? It looks a lot like the problems that occured a few months ago when you had installed the MS hotfix for the blaster worm. Have you maybe recently installed an update for windows?

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.

Guess the thing has nothing to do with Windows, unless you're still using Win98SE (guess you don't).Unfortunately, Gmax seems to have such a kind of 'crazyness', sometimes. I learnt since a long time to always save my files twice, and sometimes this isn't even enough. I run two systems, one with Win98SE and one with WinXP. On the second one, Gmax looks more stable, but sometimes some file is lost there too. Once I wasn't able to open a file including grouped objects only, I added a normal (single, not grouped) object and everything went ok again (don't ask me why). Better to not speak about Gmax on Win98SE-systems: when the filesize becomes too big (say: over 40 mb) the possibilities to lose the file at each saving are 10:1. The first time when this happened, 3 weeks of work were killed in a nanosecond and I went close to the suicide.........

hi rafthanks for your commentI use xp and now I save parts of my projects separately and ...prey :)thank you againchristian
