Corrected coastline doesn't show up on the map in FS9

Featured Replies

Hi there!I am using Ground2K (the latest version) to correct some coastlines and position of lakes in the northern part of Sealand / Denmark. But I have noticed that my new coastlines are being "ignored" by the map view and the GPS in FS2004.Is there a way to force the sim to see the new coast? What if I was to make an island and it never could be seen on the map?I will try to attach a few pictures to illustrate the problem.Best regardsKim Dahl

The original LWM masking stubbornly persists in the GPS and Map views. The only way to alter that correctly is to completely rewrite the offending LWM file ( which is pretty large... LOD5 sized ). LWMViewer can decompile the existing HP bgl, and can give a map that could be used in Ground2K4 or perhaps CoastLineMaker. This isn't a bug in Coastline maker or G2K4, but a problem with the implementation of those views in the sim. Microsoft has shared code with us that does allow us to rewrite LWM masking, but they themselves do not create addon scenery to correct landmasses. So sometimes they forget about addon designers when making the sim.Dick

Hi Dick! Thanks for the answer. Now I know that I am not doing anything the wrong way, and I think I can live with this small map problem :-)Best regards
