Gmax export to make a BGL??

Recommended Posts

Guest Larrycx

Hi,I have a simple building in Gmax per tutorial. I am now at the export step. I have MakMdl.exe in the Gmax plugins folder. The tutorial says export as a bgl. (mdl?). Gmax only allows type plasma (.P3D). What do I have to do to get a BGL for FS2004?Larry Costa

Thanks Bill,Yeah! The more I dig into Gmax and its hundreds of drop downs, the more I need to learn. I hope the plugin I need can be found free or cheap. I sure don't want to have to buy a package like FSxxxPro. I got Gmax on my FS2004 CD but downloaded it before I realized that.I will check on the GmaxSupport site. The book I ordered came today and already told me about some things I was or will fight. Thanks againLarry

Hi Larry. We should be getting the new FS2004 MakeMDL SDK soon, and that should have the needed files for exporting Gmax scenery for FS9. So, you might want to hold off getting the FS2002 Pro edition a bit.Alternatively, maybe someone near your home would be willing to sell you their old copy of FS2002 Pro. I see the price of retail FS2002 Pro is actually quite steep... probably because of the DLE file needed for Gmax.Dick
