vod and airport textures needed in 2004?

Featured Replies

would like to know if airport and vod textures are needed in fs2004 when using scenery which was made for 2002 and do these go in main texture folder as they did in 2002, the reason i ask is some scenery i have which was made for fs2002 says it needs vod and airport textures, but when i have installed it, the tree textures are still missing, just white blocks.

If the scenery needs them, you will need to install them. If you have a lot of sceneries that use these texture, it would indeed be a good idea to put them in the main texture folder. If you still miss texture after that it might be that some of the formats are no longer supported. You should remember that some of these texture are as old as Fs5 and it would maybe be better to convert them to BMP textures with mipmaps for Fs2004.

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.

The default Airport textures don't work in FS9. If you place a NDB somewhere, the little building will show... but the textures wont be there.Joe W.
