I was wondering if anyone could recomend a good freeware utility. I am new to this and would like to try my hand at it. Thanks in advance.

What would you like to make and for which version of Flight Simulator?If you want to make objects GMax is the best choice for both Fs2002 and Fs2004. It comes with FS (only the Pro version of Fs2002).For designig the rest of your scenery (airfields, runways, etc) you need another tool. For Fs2004 I would recommend SceneGenX (www.airportforwindows.com) or AFCAD to do this part.For Fs2002 the most commonly used tools are Airport (www.airportforwindows.com) and FSSC (www.avsim.com/fssc).All these tools are freeware.
