Avro RJ100 and Bae 146-300 same plane?

Recommended Posts

One of the files in the library is described as representing both of these aircraft. Are they the same, following some company mergers or splits? They seem to have different IATA type codes, according to the list I found at http://www.house747.freeserve.co.uk/acrtypes.htm.And while I am asking dumb questions about aircraft, does the Jetstream J41 also have an alias? Thanks for putting me straight - my air spotting skills don't go beyond counting the number of engines hanging on the outside.

The RJ series (70, 85, 100) are more modern versions of the Bae 146 series (100, 200, 300). They are essentially the same basic aircraft, but with newer engines, upgraded avionics, etc.Mike Stone

Hi Mike,I see that there are downloads for the RJ85 and RJ100. Are these both the same model or are there 2 seperate models out there. I think the only difference between the 100 and 85 is in lengthThanksMark

If they're mine, I've never made anything but the RJ85. Some people repaint aircraft to look like an alternate version, even though the model doesn't change. Mike Stone
