August 22, 200421 yr Hi folks! I am laying out some roads but how can I know which road textures I can use and which one is which?I tried the program called "Coastlm" and it generates *.asm files that works nice with the following Texturesnames: VTPTextureName "1028" VTPTextureName "1062" VTPTextureName "1031" VTPTextureName "1116" VTPTextureName "1024" VTPTextureName "1040" VTPTextureName "1158" VTPTextureName "1134"But which one is which here? Is there any register over what the number means? Can anybody explain this for me? Thanks in advance!Marko Krejic
August 23, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi Marko, the answer is in your terrain.cfg file, in the FS root folder. It lists the road (and other line) types by number and their associated texture bitmaps and autogen, if any. The FS2004 Terrain SDK documents explain the individual parameters in more detail.Cheers, Holger
August 25, 200421 yr Thanks Holger! I have some more questions about the terrain.cfg. When I looked inside terrain.cfg, they mentioned 1 lane, 2 lane roads etc. But as I can see its the same texture that is used. Is it really any difference or is this just for future use or if you add your own road textures?CheersMarko
