November 23, 200421 yr I am using Afcad2 to add ILS's to a runway on an existing airport. They are created successfully and I can use them in conducting an ILS approach, but neither the Garmin GPS database, nor ATC seems to know anything about them. The map view is aware that of the ILS and frequency, yet ATC will only give me the choice of a Visual approach or a GPS approach, but not an ILS approach. Is there some other database which must be updated so that ATC and the stock GPS database know about the new ILS?Jeff Walker
November 23, 200421 yr AFCAD is adding the ILS information to the runways and also to the COMM/NAV information so you know the frequency to select. You have to add the approach coding per the FS2004_BGLCOMP_SDK to have ATC use the approach. It includes the Approach information, Approach Legs, Missed Approach Legs, and maybe a Transition Leg. Here is an example I did for a new runway at Orlando International (KMCO):You might also have to add waypoints, if they don't exist:W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
