AFCAD Invisible Texture for Taxiway

Recommended Posts

Guest unglajo10

Hi allI'm trying to change to the new XML-Design. I've got a question concerning the new exclude functionality. My Taxiway/Apron areas are photo-relalistic texture DXT1 Format & transparency. I also created a mask so that the grass texture can show through depending on the seasons. I've also created a new AFCAD File for the AI-Traffic. With the old style exclude no texture of the AFCAD Taxiways and APRONs showed up. With the new style exclude the AFCAD texture are visible at the borders of my photo-realistic textures (small parts because of differences AFCAD at for example curves)Is there a way to create invisble Taxiways in AFCAD? (texture selection in AFCAD does not allow e.g."none")Furthermore is there a way to let the AFCAD taxiwaylines show up on ground-textures?I'm looking forward for any suggestions.ThanksJ

There are two ways you can hide the AFCAD taxiways;1:- Give then a width of one metre.2:- Turn them into Apron routes. As for displaying the taxiway lines, I've used FSSC to place them over my custom textures. You have much more control over then and it's well worth the time and effort.David

Hi Jorg,I could not find a way to hide taxiways either (with aprons you can), so I guess the previous suggestion to make them smaller would be the best approach.About the taxilines. That depends on how you placed your photos. If you used mesh techniques the AFCAD lines will show fine on top of it. If you placed them in a different way, it is impossible to get your AFCAD elements show on top.

Hi Arno & others friendsI have a bit problem connected with taxiway in AFCAD 221, probably due to some jam, copy and substitute i did before: so now, I'm not able to see (it means white screen without texture) when I choose Asphalt, Dirt and Gravel. I imagine some textures in Addon Scenery/Texture missed.:( Do you have an idea of the related missed files and where can I find them?thanks in advanceAldo, junior developer
