Crashing into invisible hanger walls

Featured Replies

I've read, I've searched. I can create hangers with animated doors and CAT and everything. What I can't seem to do is pilot an airplane into an open hanger that I created without crashing. The animated hangers in RWY12 seem to work. I'm using GMAX. It doesn't seem to matter if the hanger has an animated door or not. I've used a small airplane that can easily fit.I've changed the view so I'm inside the plane (I've read about some problems with viewpoints creating a crash).http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/113020.zipThis is a zip of the cat enabled BGl (frequency nav2 at 113.00 to open door) as well as the GMAX source. It's a simple design. There seems to be invisible walls in my hangers. If I make a hanger a lot wider I can get a small plane in so long as I'm not close to a wall, but if I'm close to a wall but clearly not hitting it I get a crash.I know turning off crash detection is an option, but I would like to fix the problem with my scenery.

Perhaps a silly question, but are you removing crash boxes on the doors? Animating the doors does NOT animate the crash boxes - when the doors move, they will leave the "ghost" crash box in the original place. Remove the crash boxes on the doors and see if that helps.Misho

See if you have an MAKEMDL.CFG. If so, add[settings]LastDir=C:gmaxgamepacksfs2004pluginsSaveDir=C:gmaxgamepacksfs2004plugins[Options]Crash=0See attached file for entire Option entry additions.W. Sieffert
