April 16, 200521 yr I've read, I've searched. I can create hangers with animated doors and CAT and everything. What I can't seem to do is pilot an airplane into an open hanger that I created without crashing. The animated hangers in RWY12 seem to work. I'm using GMAX. It doesn't seem to matter if the hanger has an animated door or not. I've used a small airplane that can easily fit.I've changed the view so I'm inside the plane (I've read about some problems with viewpoints creating a crash).http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/113020.zipThis is a zip of the cat enabled BGl (frequency nav2 at 113.00 to open door) as well as the GMAX source. It's a simple design. There seems to be invisible walls in my hangers. If I make a hanger a lot wider I can get a small plane in so long as I'm not close to a wall, but if I'm close to a wall but clearly not hitting it I get a crash.I know turning off crash detection is an option, but I would like to fix the problem with my scenery.
April 16, 200521 yr Commercial Member Perhaps a silly question, but are you removing crash boxes on the doors? Animating the doors does NOT animate the crash boxes - when the doors move, they will leave the "ghost" crash box in the original place. Remove the crash boxes on the doors and see if that helps.Misho P3D SpacePort Team
