May 7, 200521 yr Hi everyone, I recently decided to download some high detail terrain mesh for the area that i usually fly in (FS2004). After doing so, I noticed a small island which previously looked flat and boring, now looks awesome with some nice rugged cliffs and hills. I know there is two airstrips on the island but microsoft decided to leave them out. Now that it looks so nice, I actually want to land there so i decided to take up scenery design to fix the problem. Ive read a few tutorials and searched a few forums but now im stuck! Question - Can I use SceneGenX to flatten a small area of this island for an airstrip? and if so, how?I already made an airstrip and installed it but parts of it are underground due to the rough terrain. there are some flatter spots on the island i could put it, but the approaches would not be so visually exciting. Any help would be much appreciated.
May 7, 200521 yr No, you need fstutilities.zip from www.fs-traveler.com . Flattens are part of the terrain type scenery. Terrain type scenery still uses old style SCASM/BGLC methods.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
