Crash when loading flight

Featured Replies

Hi fellow simmers,At a few airports FS crashes when the progress show 'loading scenery textures' and at 16%. Curiously, it's only at daylight. Same airports are ok at night. It seems to be more or less 'area wide', since a flight begun in a 'healthy' area will cause FS to crash ~15 - 20nm out or so.Any help, pointers to FAQ's etc., will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Niels,Do you get any error message when it crashes? That might tell what part of FS is causing it.Also, is this using default scenery or with addons loaded? Or maybe an airport you designed yourself?

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.

Hi Arno,Thank you for your reply, Arno.It is mostly a module by the name g2d.dll that causes the crashes.Error-checking the partition does not produce any result, although oddly enough, fs occasionally slow the loadspeed at ~16%.Again, nighttime loading never crashes FS2002. Not even at "daytime affected" airports. One example of a default airport is UMM,and add-on TNCA (By a Sabino Yacobone)
