AutoAsm- Trying to import MP file?

Featured Replies

Admittedly I have never used this feature but wanted to try the new STRM coastline data(version-2). The import process calls for setting some params and clicking on the Set Bounds button. When I do, the process begins to Read Points to determine the boundaries of the map. However, it stops after some are displayed and goes into a loop. The file is in polish format (MP)from MapEdit. I tried a ".BLN" file and it worked ok.Dick Boley @KLBE

Hi, Dick, I just tried importing an .mp file and it worked fine. Very important: be sure that LOAD ALL is checked - this forces it to use all the data for setting the bounds. Right now I can't think of anything unless there is a difference in the file format compared to the ones I tested - though that's unlikely as I also used MapEdit. Come to think of it, as the .bln import worked, it strongly suggests there is something wrong with the .mp file. If you still have no joy then you could email the import file to me and I'll be happy to take a look at it. Best regards, Chris

Hi Dick, Hope you got my email with the new version. I found two problems: the size of an array had to be increased and also the format of the .mp file was different. The new version should fix both problems. Let me know if there sre still problems. Best regards, Chris
