Curved approach lights....

Featured Replies

Hi, Since I was unable to find a scenery add-on for the Alta (ENAT) airport in Norway, I was wondering how you would go about adding a curved path for runway approach lighting? I am talking about a Kai Tak-like approach lighting. I have very detailed approach charts for the airport. Thanks in advance for your help, regards,Macs :)

Hi,The approach lights of runways generated the normal way can not be curved. So in that case you will have to place all the light points of the approach light system yourself. For example with GMax.

Hi Arno,This is an interesting idea. What effect would you use for the individual strobes and how would you get them to fire in the proper sequence at the correct times? Thanks,Adam

Hi Adam,That is indeed an interesting point I did not fully think of :).Using a timer variable, you should be able give each light an on/off time to get the correct animation. But this would indeed mean a lot of manual tweaking, not really an easy task.
