Lost Beaches

Featured Replies

G'day,I lost my coastline/beaches in the Caribbean somehow:http://makeashorterlink.com/?G5541519C I'm not sure Free Flow Florida or BEV ate them, but I have a complete backup of FS9 on my second hard drive. If I knew where these texture files were located I could restore them. So, where can I find the beaches?MB

Sounds like you might be "missing" the default shoreline file. These are located in the main scenery folder. It will be named HL9XXYY0.bglWhere XX and YY depend on the coordinates of the LOD5 cell that the scenery is located in.

Could also be that there is a VTP exclude active in an addon scenery that removes your shorelines. So you might want to try to disable a few addon sceneries to see if that helps.

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.

I assume by main scenery folder you mean:C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9SceneryOcensceneryI found 215 Files on my broken installation and 215 files on my default backup installation all with the same date... So it looks like I have all of those files.I'll try to disable some scenery to see if that helps. Thanks guys.

I think you're more likely to find the Caribbean in ...SceneryNameScenery (NAME = North America East). I may be wrong, but I think OCEN is for Oceania!Hope this helps,Adrian
