Facilities data - waypoints?

Recommended Posts

Quick question for you all: I'm wondering what the practical differences are between named, unnamed, and off-route waypoints as far as FS9 facilities data is concerned. Can any of these be added to a flight plan using FS9's built in planner, or with a 3rd party application such as FSNAV? I'd like to add a "marker" of some kind to aid FS-Blaze users in locating fires. What would be the best type to use? I'd like the user to be able to add the waypoints to a flight plan. One user has suggested ADFs, but I'll be adding over a thousand of these in peak fire season...not sure if that's a problem in and of itself, but could they all be the same frequency? Thanks in advance!sg
