April 22, 200719 yr the blue of the sky in FSX? I find it too blue and not enough gray unless at FL. Thanks.
April 23, 200719 yr Aside from changing the weather, probably the only way to change the sky color is to modify the textures. I think that John Cillis did this for FS 9 - those modified textures should be in the Avsim library. Perhaps they will work for FS X.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
April 29, 200719 yr Edited the sky textures in photoshop with a lighter shade of blue and I find the result way more convincing. Too bad we don't have a utility, like Fly! had, I think, which allows you to tweak the colors. Even better if it could be weather driven (high humidity, more diffuse, etc...)
April 30, 200719 yr That looks excellent and extremely realistic.Perhaps you would consider releasing those files for all others who could be interested.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
May 4, 200719 yr Plus, it's just the "sky noon" series of textures edited in Photoshop with -25% saturation and +20% brightness. Whcih people might want to change to their own taste, season, time of day etc... Now, a GUI utility that could do that on the fly, or even better, depending on the atmospheric conditions (temp, humidity), as BOPrey suggested on the other forum, that would be worth publishing!
May 4, 200719 yr You would be surprised how popular this type of thing can be. People would most likely be really appreciative. To place files in the Avsim library,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171189.jpgand carefully follow all instructions.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
